Exactly 1/4" from center needle to edge of presser foot. Have you experienced puckering and skipped stitches on lightweight fabrics? The flat underside and small needle entry hole on this foot are designed for straight stitch sewing on these fabrics. The small needle hole provides excellent fabric control. This foot is especially useful with difficult or delicate fabrics such as charmeuse, fine silks, etc.
